Kenkatha, also known as Kenwariya, is a breed of cattle native to India. They originated in the provinces of Bundelkhand in the state of Uttar Pradesh along the banks of river Ken and Vindhyas hilly range in Madhya Pradesh.

Presently the strain is dispersed in Lalitpur, Hamirpur, Chitrakoot and Banda districts of Uttar Pradesh state and Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh state.

They are of small and compact build and exhibit different shades of grey and black, rarely white complexions. The Kenkatha cattle are used for draft purposes and is known to have the ability to survive harsh environments and on poor-quality forage.

Ears of those Kenkatha cows don’t droop and are pointed. Their feet are tough and the limbs are brief but strong. Their sheath finishes with a dark tip and is pendulous, and the hump is developed. They have a dewlap.
